This ranking, conducted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), places the Council first within the Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy.
In its letter to the Council, the ICPC praised the organization’s conducive work environment, corruption-free systems, and efficient port services that meet global standards.
The Council’s leadership, under Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima, MON, was commended for promoting efficiency and transparency in the port system. The Council’s efforts to modernize port operations have resulted in increased productivity, improved performance, and enhanced competitiveness.
