Research and Information Services

  • Disseminate trade and transport information to stakeholders through indicative freight rates and local shipping charges.
  • Disseminate trade and transport information to stakeholders through Border Information Centres (BIC).

The Council conducts research into various aspects of the Transportation and Logistics issues in International Trade for the benefit of all stakeholders in the Industry. The researches are carried out either independently or as collaborative efforts with other government agencies. The results of these studies are used for planning and policymaking purposes.

Some of the studies/researches include:

  1. Port Access Flow/Gap Analysis to profer solution for the eradication of gridlock on Lagos Port Access Roads.
  2. State of Port Infrastructure.
