The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council ( NSC), Barr. Akutah’ Pius , MON has called on the agency’s personnel to imbibe the culture of hardworking and dedication in their assigned duties.
Akutah made the call at a town hall meeting held with staff to comenmorate his one year of assumption of office.
The NSC boss appreciated staff for their unremitting support and encouragement in the past one year, adding that more is expected from them in the years ahead.
He also expressed optimism that the Nigerian Shipping and Port Economic Regulatory Agency Bill 2023 would soon become passed, noting that they have had a Public Hearing on the passage.
” I know we are getting ready when would be transmuted to Nigerian Shipping and Port Economic Regulatory Agency. Any moment from now, this would become a reality”, he added.
According to him, the issue of staff welfare would be given priority attention, adding that the paucity of funds have remained the major challenge.
