The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has urged industry stakeholders to redouble their efforts in order to ensure government’s efforts in improving the business climate in Nigeria are translated into long term sustainable growth for the economy.
Osinbajo stated this recently at the 3rd edition of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Awards, held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.
This is when Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), Nigerian Custom Service bagged the PEBEC Award for the best agencies on trading across borders.
Osibanjo, while referring to the progress the country has made in the World Bank Of Ease of Doing Business Rankings, Said what is more important than moving up in the rankings, is the need to ensure that all effort translate into long-term sustainable growth for the economy.
He enjoined all stakeholders not to rest on their oars as more is required to fully industrialize the Nigerian economy.
