The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Barr. Akutah Pius, MON on Tuesday led the NSC’s management on a courtesy visit to Chief Adebayo Sarumi, the former Managing Director of the Council at his residence in Lagos.
Speaking, Chief Adebayo Sarumi felicitates with Barr. Akutah Pius on his appointment as the Executive Secretary / CEO of the Council.
The Executive Secretary/ CEO of the Council, Barr. Akutah Pius, MON said he has heard a lot about Chief Adebayo Sarumi, particularly the pivotal role he has played in NSC, while insisting to know the success story.
The former Managing Director of NSC said fair play greatly assisted him when he was the CEO of the Council.
He called on Barr. Akutah Pius to embrace fair play with the users and providers of shipping and port services in his engagement with them as Port Economic Regulator.
He also wants Barr. Akutah to emulate Barr. Hassan Bello’s leadership style, noting that his predecessor, Bello whom he nurtured was always willingly to learn more about the industry.
