PROVIDE MORE WAGONS, LOCOMOTIVES FOR OUR CARGOES, KIDP URGES NRC

NIGERIAN TRIBUNE, THURSDAY, 3RD OCTOBER, 2019, PAGE 16

The Kaduna Inland Dry Port (KIDP) has urged the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) to provide more wagons and locomotives for its cargoes.

Speaking recently, when the KIDP in collaboration with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) organised a seminar with a theme “Optimising Importation and Exportation of Non-Oil Produce through Kaduna Inland Dry Port”, the General Manager of KIDP, Rotimi Raimi, stated that the seminar was organised to sensitize the business community and farmers about the dry port, its importance in Kaduna and hinterland areas including the neighboring countries like Niger, Chad, Mali, among others.

According to Rotimi Raimi, in recent times, several seminars were organised by the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) in collaboration with the Inland Containers Nigeria Limited (ICNL) to sensitize the business community and farmers about the dry port which we believe will enhance the economic and commercial activities”.
