The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has investigated alleged extortion and harassment by Marine Police operating from Commodore to Atlas Cove Jetty, Lagos.
The team led by Chief C.C. Agu, Deputy Director, Monitoring & Enforcement of the Council while on patrol met with Marine Police who denied the allegations.
Information gathered revealed that the Marine Police neihter extort nor hinder smooth marotome businesses on the high sea.
