The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Barr. Akutah Pius, MON has admonished the new employees at the Council to embrace discipline and dedication in the discharge of their assigned duties.
Akutah, who stated this at an induction programme organized for new NSC employees in Lagos, specially congratulated them on the employment. The NSC boss, however, warned that the management would not condone any act of indiscipline from the members of staff.
Meanwhile, Akutah assured that the agency will not only create a good working environment for the staff but also prioritize their training and retaining in order to develop their skills for optimal performance in the workplace. He equally noted that the Council is transmuting into a Shipping & Port Economy Regulatory Agency which is expected to herald a significant transformation in the nation’s port sector.
Akutah also advised the new members of staff to work assiduously to actualize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda in the Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy.
Earlier, the Director, Human Resources Management Department of NSC, Mrs. Ada Okam welcomed the new inductees to the Council. Okam encouraged the new NSC employees to adhere with rules and regulations of the agency, even as she reiterated the Council’s commitment to provide them with the requisite working tools.
