The Executive Secretary / Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) Mr. Hassan Bello, has Called on Lagos State Government prioritize the provision of infrastructure to help the Council in its effort to ensure sanity at the ports.
A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations Officer NSC Rakiya Zubairu said Bello was speaking during a working visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos, recently.
The statement quote the Executive Secretary as saying that there is need for synergy and co-ordination in the provision of infrastructure.
According to him ‘’ if infrastructure is not coordinated or integrated, very little progress will be made’’
The Executive Secretary who was accompanied on the visit by some Directors of the Council, briefed the Governor on some key issues like multimodal approach to cargo delivery and evacuation , 24-hour Port Operations, Digitalisation of the Port and Traffic Management.
