NSC Staff Mrs. Osakwe-Ogo Installed as 12th SWAN National Chairperson

The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), has formally installed Mrs. Osakwe-Ogo a staff of Nigerian Shippers’ Council as its 12th National Chairperson during an investiture ceremony held in Lagos recently.

Delivering his goodwill message, the Executive Secretary/ Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Dr. Akutah Pius, MON, who was represented by the Director Special Duties, Mr. Moses Abere, praised Mrs. Osakwe-Ogo’s dedication, professional experience, and leadership qualities, commending SWAN for promoting women’s interests in the accounting profession.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Osakwe-Ogo thanked the leadership of the Council for their support and also pledged to expand SWAN’s reach through collaborations during her two-year tenure and urged members to support her leadership.

The investiture was conducted by ICAN’s 61st President, Mallam Haruna Yahaya, who was represented by Kingsley Anyaeze.

Mrs. Osakwe-Ogo was officially sworn in by legal luminary Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN.

NOTING FURTHER the unlawful and dilatory practice wherein shipping companies withhold operational approvals or decisions under the pretext of awaiting instructions or authorization from foreign parent companies or principals.
